Chicago Backpackers is a club and community for anyone in the greater Chicago area who likes getting out into the backcountry, whether you have already logged hundreds of trail miles or you are still working out how to pack for your first trip. We lead backpacking trips throughout the year, host social events around the Chicago, and have educational sessions covering gear, trip planning, navigation, and Leave No Trace. Everyone is welcome!
